ReceiptSend (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information ReceiptSend may collect, how that information is used, when it may be shared, and what choices users have regarding their data.
This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the ReceiptSend mobile application.
1. What ReceiptSend Does
ReceiptSend is a mobile application that helps users:
- capture receipts with a mobile device camera
- organize receipts using saved categories
- prepare a prefilled email draft with the receipt attached
- send receipts to selected email recipients through the user’s native email app
ReceiptSend is designed to reduce the risk of lost receipts and simplify the process of routing them to the correct recipients.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, ReceiptSend may collect or store the following types of information:
2.1 Information you provide directly
You may provide the following information داخل the app:
- Display name
- Personal email address
- Category names
- Category email recipients
- Optional category reference information
- Sign-in details when using Email/Password authentication
- Account information when using Google sign-in
2.2 Receipt and image data
The app may process or store:
- receipt images captured using your device camera
- temporary draft image data needed to prepare an email handoff
Receipt images may be stored locally on your device temporarily as part of the app workflow.
2.3 Usage information
The app may store limited usage-related data, including:
- monthly send count
- all-time send count
- entitlement or plan-related state
- account-linked usage state when signed in
2.4 Technical and device-related information
Third-party infrastructure used by the app, such as Firebase services, may process limited technical information needed for authentication, app functionality, security, and synchronization. This may include device identifiers, app instance data, and diagnostic information as provided by those services.
3. How We Use Information
ReceiptSend uses information for the following purposes:
- to allow users to save and manage categories
- to prepare email drafts based on selected categories
- to attach receipt images to outgoing drafts
- to apply user settings such as display name and CC preferences
- to support optional account sign-in
- to support optional cloud-backed account features
- to maintain usage limits and entitlement-related functionality
- to improve app reliability, security, and performance
We do not use your personal information to sell user data to advertisers.
4. Authentication and Account Data
ReceiptSend currently supports optional account authentication, including:
- Email and Password sign-in
- Google sign-in
If you choose to sign in, your account data may be processed through Firebase Authentication.
When signed in, some app data may also be associated with your account through backend services such as Firebase Firestore.
If you use the app without signing in, some data may remain stored locally on your device.
5. Receipt Images and Email Routing
ReceiptSend helps prepare outgoing email drafts using the categories and recipients you configure.
Important:
- ReceiptSend currently prepares an email handoff to the user’s native email app
- The user remains in control of actually sending the final email
- Recipients are determined from the categories selected by the user
- Receipt images are attached as part of that draft workflow
ReceiptSend may also apply:
- recipient deduplication
- optional CC rules
- subject-line prefill
- lightweight app branding in the email body
6. Local Storage on Your Device
ReceiptSend may store data locally on your device for functionality and convenience, including:
- profile preferences
- saved categories
- usage statistics
- draft-related workflow data
- guest/local workspace data
This local storage helps the app function even before a user signs in.
7. Cloud Storage and Backend Services
When users sign in, ReceiptSend may store or sync certain data using backend services, including Firebase services.
This may include:
- user profile information
- category data
- usage-related data
- entitlement-related data
- account-linked app state
This cloud-connected functionality helps support account-based usage, future sync behavior, and entitlement management.
8. Third-Party Services
ReceiptSend may use trusted third-party services to support app functionality. These may include:
- Google Firebase Authentication
- Google Firebase Firestore
- Google Sign-In
- Google Play services
- device-native email applications used by the user to complete sending
These providers may process data as required to provide their services.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these providers where relevant.
9. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal data.
We may share information only in limited circumstances, including:
- with service providers required for app functionality
- when the user explicitly triggers an email draft to chosen recipients
- where required by law, regulation, or lawful request
- to protect the security, integrity, or legal rights of the app, its users, or the public
If you select recipients and proceed with an email draft, the relevant email data and attached receipt image are shared with the email service or email recipients chosen by you as part of that action.
10. Ads
ReceiptSend does not currently display third-party advertising inside the app.
If this changes in a future version, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
11. Data Retention
We retain data only as needed for app functionality, user experience, account support, and service integrity.
Depending on how you use the app:
- some data may remain locally on your device until deleted
- some account-linked data may remain in backend systems while your account exists
- draft receipt images may be temporary and may not be stored permanently
- retention behavior may vary depending on signed-in vs local-only usage and future premium/account features
12. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the app.
However, no method of electronic storage, transmission, or online service is completely secure. Users should understand that no platform can guarantee absolute security.
13. Children’s Privacy
ReceiptSend is not designed specifically for children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner that would require separate child-directed treatment under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the situation.
14. Your Choices
Depending on how you use the app, you may be able to:
- use the app without signing in
- sign in using supported account methods
- edit or remove categories
- change profile preferences
- uninstall the app and remove local device data
- contact us regarding account or privacy-related questions
If you would like to request removal of account-linked data, please contact us using the contact details below.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If changes are made, the updated version will be posted at the active URL where this policy is hosted, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
Continued use of ReceiptSend after changes may constitute acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
